Before we start complaining about so many things we do not have in our life I must say that we should start by thanking Allah for what we have. This entire world is made for us with a lot more things to make us realize the existence of Allah. He has provided us with certain blessings like the earth to live on, fruits/vegetables, oxygen, rain & clouds & the list goes on. He has also blessed us with body organs, ability to listen, ability to see things, ability to think & learn. Allah says in Quran:

“And if you were to count Allah’s favors, you would not be able to number them; most surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful”. [Sūrah al-Nahl: 18]

I strongly believe that Allah has blessed us with everything to fulfill the basic needs of living. The basic needs for every human being are the same for example we share the same sky, earth, oxygen, rain, water & light. Either you are a rich or poor person your basic needs are the same including food, shelter, clothing etc. The thing which needs to be addressed here is that although we are enjoying healthy food, peaceful sleep, cool water & fresh air but even then we are ungrateful because of the things we do not have instead of being thankful for what we have. Allah says in Quran:

“Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both [Jinns & men] deny”? Quran | 55:13

Let’s suppose, if someone walks into your office and ask you to sell your ability to hear for 100,000 Dollars or your ability to speak for worth 100 Million Euros. What will you say? Obviously NO, because Allah’s blessings can never be replaced with anything else. They are priceless. Whatever the amount you can pay but you can never buy a bit of good health for yourself. Whatever the amount you can pay but you can never buy an extra day in your life. Remember we have been literally blessed with countless favor of our Almighty Allah and we never understand the value of it. Allah say’s in Quran:

“So hold that which I have given you and be of the grateful”. Quran | 7:144

This life itself is a blessing and we should value it. Let’s live today free of sorrow, anger, jealousy & malice. Let’s be thankful to Allah for what we have and not become an ungrateful person for what we do not have. Let’s spread positivism and happiness among the world. Let’s start helping each other from today however & whatever we can. Let’s be one as a family, as a nation to achieve our shared objectives. Let’s always be grateful to Allah for His countless blessings and remember that Allah is pleased with grateful people and dislikes the person who is Thankless. This has been mentioned in the Holy Quran in the following way:

“If you give thanks, I will give you more (of My Blessings), but if you are thankless, verily! My Punishment is indeed severe.” (Ibrahim 14:7)

Let’s promise today with ourselves that we will never speak a lie and will no more be ungrateful. We will always be thankful & faithful to Allah and His messenger Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him). We all are going to die sooner or later but whatever limited time we have left, let’s waste not a single moment in being ungrateful to Allah. Let’s realize the value of this life and start living for not only ourselves but others as well. Let’s keep on reciting “Shukar Alhamdulillah” every moment & continue to strive for a better life after death. Amin
